To win in Texas it will take a grassroots army of volunteers that can call, text, write post cards and knock on doors in the big cities of Lee County voters. We can’t do it without you. Let us know how you can help by filling out the form button below - then check your inbox for next steps.

If you are unable to volunteer, PLEASE consider donating so we have the funds to reach out to others, THANK YOU!

PHONE BANKING(can do from home):

Join us in calling voters. asking questions and listening to people about their concerns and issues that are important to them and look for what values we share. Also to see if we can count on them for their democratic vote in November. It is a scripted and automatic system through a proven software.

TEXTING(can do from home):

This would be a follow-up after initial contact, if it shows a good response.

WRITING POSTCARDS(can do from home):

We will handwrite personal notes to Democrates to remind them how important it is to vote in this election cycle. These will be mailed the middle of October.

BLOCK WALKING:

We will organize in groups to go door to door in Giddings and maybe Lexington to personally talk to people about their concerns and issues that are important to them and look for what values we share. Also to see if we can count on them for their democratic vote in November.

BALLOT CLERK: This is a paid position: Email Teresa Shed- teresa.shed@co.lee.tx.us

This entails counting the mail-in ballots and the in person ballots ( which are on a thumb drive) for a specific election. It is half Democrats and a half Republicans that work together to count the votes in a systematic process. This is done on election day and a few days later, until all votes are counted and the voting machines are closed. The total commitment is about 3-4 days, depending on how many ballot clerks there are and the voter turnout in that election. The SOS chooses an item that needs to be recounted by hand, which needs to match the electronic count.

REGISTERING NEW VOTERS: (VDR) You need to take a test to become certified, here is a link to the training manual for the test: VDR Training Manual

What is involved is you can register someone to vote in person, they fill out the form with you and you are responsible to take it to the Lee County Elections Admin (Teresa Shed) for processing.
